Jessie In the book seventeenth summer by Maureen Daly, Angie is a very round character. Angie is sweet and caring but also has a sense of wander. After her date with Jack on the sail boat she thought it was magical. The next day she was waiting by the phone for him to call assuming that he would because she thinks he had as much fin as she did. And she was right. She is also very caring because she helps her mom in the garden always and she takes care of her little sister. These also express why she is very sweet because she spends time with all of her family and doesn't let most things distract her from what is important to her which is her family. This is why Angie is a sweet nice and filled with wander character.

Jessie The author of the book Seventeenth Summer, Maureen Daly expresses Angie and Jack's character traits through direct characterization. While talking about Angie Daly often just describes her thoughts and takes us inside her head. By doing this it reveals many character traits. When talking about Jack, she only really gives us the way that Angie thinks about him and what her perspective of him is. Whatever Angie feels about Jack is all that we know and is all that we will know ever..........or as far as I am in the book. Where I am in the book, Angie thinks about Jack is that he is charming and handsome. By going through Angie thoughts we also learn that she is sweet and caring. She is sweet because she helps her mom in the garden and helps her sell the things that she grows. She is caring because she takes care of her little sister and goes on walks with her and keeps her distracted while her mother is selling the things in the garden if she isn't helping. These are some examples of what Maureen Daly expresses through indirect characterization in the book Seventeenth Summer.
