Charlene | 21 comments I am reading Sara Donati's Into the Wilderness. It's historical fiction with a romance twist, much like the Outlander series. In fact, Diana Gabaldon blurbed theses books. I'm also listening to A Tree Grows in Brooklyn on audio CD. You're never too old to be read to!

Patricia | 20 comments I'm currently trying out The Buried Giant since it caught my eye on the new book shelf. I enjoy historical fiction and some fantasy, so we'll see how this one turns out!

Carla (writeon1913) I started reading Best Friends Forever during lunch. It's a novella by one of my faves.

I am multitasking and also reading a memoir by Charlie Wilson that helps time fly on the treadmill.

Honora | 6 comments Right now I'm reading The Last Letter from Your Lover by Jojo Moyes. I'm trying to read some books by popular authors that are new to me. So far so good.

The answer is "not good", in case you were wondering. I don't recommend this title - there's plenty more fish in the sea!

Karen | 1 comments I just finished My Sunsine Away by M.O. Walsh. It was well written so I hung in until the end. However, the storyline was a little depressing and dark for my taste. You might feel different.

message 7: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn (carolynmarchetti) | 1 comments I just finished Gray Mountain by John Grisham. Very typical Grisham, which is fine by me! This story is set in Appalachia Virginia and is about strip mining. 4 out of 5 stars from me.

message 8: by Carla (new)

Carla (writeon1913) I just finished Louisiana Saves the Library by Emily Beck Cogburn last night. I admit that part of the love comes because it is about a librarian saving a library, but I loved the people who made up the patrons and staff in Alligator Bayou.

I'm almost finished with Divergent, for the "Read a dystopian or post-apocalyptic novel" element in the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. I hadn't read it when it came out because at that time I was still getting over the Hunger Games trilogy, but I have to say that this one does hold its own. And Four is a bunch more attractive than Peeta. ;-)

Honora | 6 comments I finished The Last Letter from Your Lover. I really enjoyed Jojo Moyes' writing and now look forward to reading Me Before You. I also read The Killing Floor - the first Jack Reacher novel. That was good as well. Much better than Paterson's Alex Cross novels. I read the first book in the Mitford series - At Home in Mitford. It was a peaceful and relaxing read. I'll probably read some more books from the series but I did not feel compelled to read them right away. I started In Pursuit of a Proper Sinner by Elizabeth George. I love Elizabeth George novels and this one does not disappoint.

Charlene | 21 comments I just finished A Man called Ove by Fredrik Backman, a Swedish author. It was wonderful! I don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that I listened to the audiobook and the performance was terrific, but this is a story worth reading.

It is an enjoyable series. Four is a great character.
