Kimberley | 28 comments Last year I made my goal of 52 or one per week. I managed to track my progress throughout the entire year without forgetting or quitting. Definitely felt like an achievement since I would normally lose interest/motivation to finish what I start.

I could have finished more books though in 2015 so this year I am upping the goal by a whopping 13.

Good luck everybody!

Kimberley | 28 comments My completed reads for 2016 to date:
Attempting to take out the "what should I read next…" dilemma by reading my way through the Canada Reads past winners and nominees list giving a shout out to my homeland. Trying to avoid big box bookstores as well and sticking to the local business and used shops (my favourite little slices of heaven).

1. Wishful Drinking - Carrie Fisher - Funny and fast.
2. A Study in Scarlet - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Attempting to read all of Sherlock Holmes this year.
3. Nikolski - Nicolas Dickner Canada Reads past winner
4. The Notebook - Nicolas Sparks Found it in my Little Library outside. Not for me at all.
5. A Young Doctor's Notebook - Mikhail Bulgakov
6. Common Ground - Justin Trudeau
7. February - Lisa Moore Canada Reads winner
8. Every Breath - Ellie Marney
9. The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee - Sarah Silverman
10. Freak the Mighty - Rodman Philbrick
11. Unspeakable - Sandra Brown
12. The Haunting of Sunshine Girl - Paige McKenzie
13. The Awakening of Sunshine Girl - Paige McKenzie
14. Dark Places - Gillian Flynn

That sounds like a lovely plan for the year! Supporting local, in all ways :)

Kimberley | 28 comments I am still 2 behind of my goal target but I plan to catch up by the end of Feb if I can…

Gonna finish some I started previously. Is that cheating?

Susan (chlokara) | 846 comments I think you should somehow get credit for the pages you read before you abandon a book.

Thanks. That's a good thought… lol.
I try and go back and finish them eventually though. Except when they are really terrible. I have finally given myself permission to abandon those forever. :)

It's kind of liberating, isn't it? :)
