Another thing I noticed, was that both Jon and Arya left a room upset, and feeling out of place only to leave with their direwolves.
And, of course my favourite quote by Jon, "Joffrey is truly a little shit."

Well said Hannah. I completely agree with all you have said. Especially your quote about the little shit!
These characters are both so likable. No wonder they are favorites.
Arya reminded me in this chapter of something a friend told me years ago about when she was 13 and got her first period. She got mad and wanted no part in that nonsense. She told her Mom she was not going to school that day and stayed home and shot gophers with her '22! lol

That story is absolutely brilliant. I can definitely see why she reminds you of Arya.

Arya and Sansa are so opposite! Arya seems to really like Jon. She doesn't really talk bad about him and seems to have actual conversations with him.
Sansa is the good girl-listens to her elders and does the things that are expected of her without complaint.
I love how Ghost is now bigger than the other pups when he started out as the runt.
I wonder if Ned had said that Jon was a foster of sorts (kind of like Theon) if people would respect him a bit more.
Joffrey acts like he's older than Robb, but he's not. In the show their age difference seems like much more than just 2 years.

I think so too! It seems like George R.R. Martin is a very big fan of foreshadowing.

I believe Ghost is the animal representation of Jon, even though he is different and the runt of the litter at first (much like Jon being the social runt of the Stark children) he will grow to be the strongest member of the pack because of his royal blood and courageous spirit.
I love the relationship Jon and Arya have with each other, they are the two closest siblings in this story and show the importance of family in the times to come.
