Thanks--I manage to get my feet on Olympus, but I haven't yet planted a flag on the peak....

1. Cards on the Table
2. The Visitant
3. The Bill McKibben Reader: Pieces from an Active Life
4. Sunset Song by Lewis Grassic Gibbon
I'm counting Sunset Song even though I'm actually reading A Scots Quair. It's an older edition, and the print is small and of course the text is very dense. It's written in a style no longer popular, with Scottish dialect, so it's not an easy read and very slow going. I didn't get "hooked" until almost the end of the book.
I'm also reading Watching the English: The Hidden Rules of English Behaviour which is pretty dense and slow reading. It's very interesting though, & explains a lot of little things seen on English tv shows.
And I'm also struggling through The Island Within which meets the requirement for an abandoned book in another chaallenge I'm doing. It's also not an easy or quick read. But hopefully my rate will go up one I get through these!
