Also, I've always loved Bran's chapters. They just stand out, being so full of magic and wonders in a world almost completely drained and devoid of it, a world so bloody and brutal.

That is the great thing about re-reads. You always learn so much more. This is my first read through of this book but I can very much imagine that is the case with it.

George R.R. Martin is awesome. With the three eyed crow basically giving Bran a third eye.... hmm... lol
I wonder why he chose the name Summer for his direwolf. Because he wants a little bit of summer in what seems to be a really bad winter?

I believe so, yeah. He saw what was coming in the lands beyond the Wall, and I think he decided on the name Summer as a beacon of hope in the hard times that are to come.
