Maggie profiled Father Keller early on. Nick followed her lead on just about everything else but stubbornly resisted her instincts here. Your thoughts?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think by this time in the story, I thought Keller was the too-obvious suspect and wondered whether the author was throwing out red herrings. I kept going back and forth from this point on.

I could understand being reluctant for all the reasons mentioned earlier. But when the evidence became overwhelming, I didn't understand Nick's point of view. It wasn't supported well or clarified at all.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Nick should have brought in Father Keller for questioning at the least. I don't know why he kept resisting the guy that the profiler pointed to.

Charlene, I thought he was too obvious too. I kept jumping between him and Ray Howard.

The only reason I didn't consider Ray is because he really didn't have a relationship with the kids for them to trust him.

I didn't think of that, Jonetta.

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments You would think at this point he would have started to trust her, but I think he was still stuck on the whole priest aspect. If Keller hadn't been with the church Nick would have been right on board.

I was stuck between Keller and Howard. Eddie popped up a few times as well. Howard wasn't my main suspect. He always came across to me as an accomplice.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Glad to hear your perpectives, Melissa. Thanks for joining the discussion.

Mary Beth | 193 comments I made a comment earlier about this, since Nick was a people pleaser and just cared about what every one else thought he was too worried about what the community would think about him arresting a priest.
