Less than one month in and we are well underway with more than 300 members. I am Angela B. Chrysler, owner and founder of Brain to Books (The site will be up and running again soon).

The Cyber Convention is one of two mass events I host every year. The Summer Blog Tour is the second. This information is usually available at www.braintobooks.co which is currently under maintenance and will be back up and running again within the week.

I have spent the last few days to simplify the set up. I hope this breaks down the To Do list for you in an easy to follow/easy to understand format.

I know how to invite via Facebook, but how do I invite all my Goodreads friends?

GOT IT!!
At the top right hand corner there is a "box" with a collection of hyperlinks. You see, Group home, events, discussions... and "INVITE PEOPLE" Select that and you're set!

I did that, Angela, and it did work, but it limited the number of people I could invite. There was a message saying the number of people I invited was limited to how active I was in the group. I was sorry. I would have liked to invite all my Goodreads friends.

Hm... I recommend creating an event in the group Fairgrounds Group and sending the "event" invite to all. Let me know if you need help.

Actually, I was able to invite all my Goodreads friends by selecting "all" instead of "customize."

I still may decide later to host an event.

It seems there is a difference between "all my friends" and everyone in the groups to which I belong. I can invite my friends but how do I also invite all those who belong to groups to which I belong? Suggestions?

Hm... I'll have to play with this tomorrow, Charlene, and will get back to you. I'm not sure.

I am so lost. I don't play in Goodreads a lot so confusion reigns supreme for me! I did manage to get on the GIVEAWAY event to offer copies of KHAN: A Maine Coon.

Thanks. I've been with Goodreads for a while but am not the most active member in the Universe, but I think I figured a few things out! I managed to create my "booth" after I put up a few Event Giveaways.
I've been published since 2011 yet I still feel like a noob with all of the promotional things one must do! This Looks like fun and I missed last year's event. Thanks for inviting me!

I did ask elsewhere but will just to be sure you see this question-hat do I do if someone visits my booth? Can we giveaway stuff now or must e wait until the start of the Convention? Just so I know what to tell my 1st visitor!

You must wait until the Convention... or the Convention would lose its appeal.

As for "What to do when someone visits your booth..." Mostly you thank them for arriving. Usually, they have something to say.

Most of your work will be done prior to the convention, leaving you little to do the day of. Direct people to giveaways, events, links, and push to sell your books through excerpts, conversation, and teasers or books reads.

Ok, here's a link to an info graphic that BookBub made that shows reader crossover between categories. Maybe we should have a section in here where authors can meet each other (like a social lounge?) and then direct message too set up individual cross-promo?

Angela, I'll be on my phone most of the time since my Internet is so spotty. So, on the app, in each group, I can't see a "join" tab or button. Since I managed to post in the group, I assume that means I'm still a member?

You are still a member yes :) Only members can post in Goodreads so, the fact that you are posting, means you are a member! :) Also, you can't find "join" because you already have :)

I am the Creator of a takeover event called HELLDAT, the origins of which are the first syllable from each of my series 'The ARC Chronicles' and the 'tribal shout' of New Orleans Saints fans. It originated as a blog interview on my website but is now so much more. Helldat takes the traditional author takeover event and focuses it on one author to boost their visibility. You as a takeover guest would be more than welcome to promote your own work through whatever means, but if we have giveaways and games, they are normally directed at the 'main author' of the event, going to their website, posting links, tweeting etc.
