Review the 2020 2016 Challenge catalog and decide which challenges that you think you would like to join in order to track your progress.

One at a time enter the desired challenges link and fill in the two areas below the summary line.

Challenge yourself to a goal of a certain amount of books to read for that particular challenge.

Place that number in the "Number of Books" box.

In the next section, name a bookshelf, or create a new bookshelf, on which your challenge will be based. It will show up on your page with your other bookshelves. (This bookshelf should hold ONLY books for this category.)

Each time you read a "challenge" book, place that book on this shelf and enter the "date read".

GoodReads will report your progress for you, displaying a "ticker" line.

No one is being graded on these challenges. They are set up to record your own personal progress. Design them as your own. And if these don' fit your challenge, let me know and I will create one for you!

I did all of the above for six challlenges. I have read my first book for the challenge GR authorization.
Savage Horizons It is shelved on 2017 GR aothors which I created from the challenge. It has todays date as read but is not reflected in the challenge as being read, it still says 0 read!?

Linda, You might want to check your spelling (it is different in your example above).

The other thing to note is that the dashes must be between each word, so "2017-gr-authors". AND I noticed on my own tries, that the capitalization is not acceptable.

Let me know if it is still a problem after tryiig these suggestions.

Thank you Almeta! All is working well now. It wasn't the spelling or the dashes as was using the shelves as they appeared from the challenge. I have no idea, there was some kind of delay. I added a radom book, checked with the callenge and both books were there! I deleted the random book from my list and double checcked the challenge. the deleted book was gone and the challenge showed one book readl! Thanks for setting all of this up. You go to a lot of effort for your fellow readers!:)

I left the 2016 challenges available for a little while, so that people could review their 2016 results.

I think that all of 2016 has gone to the archive now.
