I've decided that I want to start reading more classic books. Any recommendations? What are you're favourite classics, if you've read any?

Chris Stanley (christinelstanley) | 922 comments Hi Rosiemae - I too like classics from time to time. My absolute favourite is Thomas Hardy's The Return of the Native, and the more modern classic Graham Greene's The End of the Affair. I often go back to these, along with Pride and Prejudice when I've lost my reading mojo.

Thanks for the suggestions. I own Pride and Predjudice but I've avoided it slightly as I have heard such mixed reviews from people who have read it

I also liked The end of the Affair. The Go-Between is good and also Gone with the Wind and Out of Africa.
