I've recently finished writing the manuscript for my second novella, Path of Destruction (yet to be edited or given a cover). There's no need have to have read my first novella as this story is set in a completely different place and era.
"The Holy Land, 1191. After a bloody massacre following the capture of the port city of Acre, ROBERT of the monastic Templar Order, finds himself consumed with guilt and regret. God has seemingly abandoned him to the nightmarish demons of war and they swiftly push him to the brink of death.
He is saved from eternal damnation by three Saracens who share a supernatural curse; vampirism. ROBERT is given a chance to explore unlife with renewed clarity, free to accept his wretched state as recompense for his sins, or to find new purpose and restored faith.
In death he will find hope for redemption." (Blurb is also a work in progress).
This novella (along with its predecessor) serves as an introduction to the world I'm building in my upcoming series. I'd appreciate feedback regarding the plot and general atmosphere. Typos and other aesthetic errors will be dealt with in editing so there's no need to worry about it.
I'm happy to send a PDF copy to a small number of reviewers. If you're a Christian or a Muslim, I'd especially appreciate your input, although I must warn you that the respective doctrines have changed drastically over the course of a thousand years (for example, the 12th Century falls well into what was known as the Islamic Golden Age), therefore, views expressed by the characters may contradict the views expressed by people today and that is what I'm trying to depict.
