-The brotherhood without banners are fighting some Mummers, and Arya thinks they should have sent her to fight, like they did with that boy Ned. At least they didn’t let Gendry go as well, lol. They are looking the battle from safe spot. Arya wants all the Mummers to die, and in the end most do. At one point the Mummers got out of the sept, and I forgot both Thoros and Beric were fighting. I didn’t remember most of this chapter to be honest. Beric let two Dothraki to go to Harrenhal and tell the goat and Bolton what happened. I wonder if Beric does that often.
-They got eight men out who were in the sept before the Mummers, and Septon Utt who was in Harrenhal and likes to kill boys apparently. Beric had a trial for those who weren’t dying, and they told what they did with the Mumers. They ended up hanged, the Septon as well. As Tom sang, Thoros was saying about the red god to roast their souls. At least he doesn’t burn people alive though. Arya is glad the Septon died, and I am not upset about, he was awful. Arya wishes the Hound was dead too, but they let him go and took only his gold, and before took care of his arm. The survivors told them a monster went for silver before the Mummers went for the gold, I am thinking of Gregor but it could be someone else.
-The men didn’t ask for Beric and his men names, they already know who they are. It’s not like they are hiding it either. I liked Beric respected the men’s religion. Arya never saw him eating or sleeping, he only drinks wine. I am really interesting in this, and I forgot a lot of what was said. Beric said Thoros was the best healer, and the priest said he was only an instrument of R’hllor. He brought Beric back six times, and it was harder each time. Thoros thinks he might not bring him back a seventh. Also, Beric can’t remember certain things, it seems he lost some memories everytime he comes back, which I didn’t remember and is quite interesting.
-Arya asks if Thoros can bring back a man without a head, and even though he doesn’t say it like that, she understood the answer was no. Apparently Thoros gave what was called “the last kiss” before, but Beric was the only one so far who came back. Thoros thinks the red god has plans for Beric, and that’s why he still lives.
-Beric said in honor of her father he wouldn’t ask for the ransom, but the thing is they needed it in that moment. Arya asks what if he brother doesn’t pay, she is worried he finds out about the men she killed, and about her mother seeing her like that, not lady-like at all. It’s so cute when she tries to fix her hair! Beric swore he would take her to Catelyn. I don’t think Catelyn and Robb would mind about how she looks now, they’ll just be happy to see her alive. I don’t think they would mind about the two she killed as well, they would understand.
-Tom sang The Rains of Castamere, a song I am obsessed with. I really like one epic version I found, and I don’t get tired of listen that song. It’s really dark, and I wonder why he sang it. I had the idea it wasn’t a song often sang, taking in consideration what it meant and why it was written.
-Gendry asks Beric to take him as a smith, and my heart broke again when she though he was going to leave her as well. Beric told Gendry he can’t pay him, and he’d be better in Riverrun. But Gendry liked them and what they fought for, and he wanted to stay even after Lem told them they were outlaws, and he would die probably. So Beric knighted him Ser Gendry of hollow hill. I understand why he did it, but the idea of them parting ways makes me sad.
-The Hound is back, and wants his gold. Lol when he said he wasn’t drunk because he didn’t have anything to buy it with. I forgot he got a lot of gold because of the tourney. Beric told him he gave him a note and promised to pay him, when they got the gold. Sandor asks, because he saw Gendry being knighted if Arya was becoming a knight as well, and she told him she will kill him and Gregor. But he had a dark look in his eyes, and told her she won’t kill his brother. I don’t think I got what this meant the first time. At this point they were prepared to fight the Hound, but he went. Thoros said that gold was all he had, since he doesn’t have anyone to serve now. Beric told their men to kill Sandor’s horse if he was still around, and most complain it is a good horse. Sandor didn’t kill the sentries, which is surprising. But he didn’t go looking for a fight, just his gold.
-That night Arya thinks of all the men who left her, and when she went through her list she couldn’t remember the face of some of Gregor’s men. They had common faces as well, so it didn’t make it easy. Even though that night wolves were close, they didn’t kill the Hound like she wanted. Gendry said he was sorry, aw, but she pretends she doesn’t care about it, and told him so. But she does I think, and it has to be quite hard for her, it seems everyone leaves her.
