2017 Reading Challenge discussion

The Selection is the first in a trilogy that can be read as a stand alone, though, best to read the three. I used the second one, The Elite, for a YA book, and the third fThe One for a wild card. Since I am also attempting to do the PopSugar one with as many crossovers as possible, this one also has the prequel, The Queen.

Good enough story that is said to be a cross between The Hunger Games and The Bachelor, I feel it has more of the romance, and sense of the latter than the former. The last book would be more apt to be considered one for the former allusion.

All in all, it was a quick read, and an enjoyable light read to have for my recovery from surgery. It is available as a box set for Kindle with two other short novels included. (There is also two more books that take place 20 years after, but I am not sure I intend to read those.
