HomeInMyShoes | 2759 comments Well the Bookclub should get you four classics.

HomeInMyShoes | 2759 comments We all have those reading black holes. Looking back I read one between May 23 and June 30th last year.

Summer tends to do that to me. Less reading because there's yard work.

I know the feeling. But 6 is an improvement!

HomeInMyShoes | 2759 comments Me too, although 6 is a pretty nice average month for me

HomeInMyShoes | 2759 comments Yeah, I like Amazon and my kindle for how it syncs. Even Amazon and my phone. I purchase and just select where to send it to. Really nice, but then Kindle doesn't support library lending through Overdrive in Canada which is really annoying so all of my library lending for eBooks is on to my phone.

If I was to buy an eReader now though it would be a Kobo so it would work with my library and Overdrive. Although I would certainly entertain buying a tablet instead as an eReader for library lending and just use my Kindle for Amazon purchases.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 3289 comments I have a Kobo and I love it. I've been a Kobo user for multiple readers and I've enjoyed them all. What I DON'T enjoy is the kobo reader software. Totally not a fan of that. I also dislike that Kobo prices are mostly always higher than Amazon. But I LOVE the fact that Kobo offers coupons.

Right now I still shop at Kobo but I also buy at Amazon. I may stop buying at Amazon again because they recently bricked my K4PC. I literally CANNOT open it at all without upgrading. And I do not like that at all. It shows me that I HAVE to do what Amazon wants to have access to my books and that's a scary process. So I had started the habit of buying books at Amazon because of some gift cards, credits, etc but now I'm feeling some kind of way.

I need to get new cleaning tools and I've no clue what the new K4PC does inside my computer.

:-(

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 3289 comments I just checked MR and HarryT says 06.20.16 that the new update hasn't broken his tools.

I really wonder why the bricking, then?? What is it running now that made them brick older editions?

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 3289 comments I know that feeling! I finally started getting rid of those books I know I'm not going to finish (or would have to force myself).

While there is darkness in the story - tell her to check out Mercedes Lackey. Most of the MCs are girls in her Valdemar works.

Also I loved Tamora Pierce's Tortal series (girl knight) when I was around that age.

I am almost totally your girl when it comes to female authors with female MCs. I read a pretty large amount of them.

I never noticed it - one day I looked at my shelves and realized that was my thing, lol.
