Okay I have to ask....which do you prefer male or female lead? Favorite book with hero and favorite book with heroine?

Favorite genre and least favorite? Favorite book in favorite.

For me I have no preference either way. I enjoy heroine but my hubby enjoys hero. I buy both so he can read them also. my favorite genre is fantasy/young adult. I like both probably equally.
least favorite is self-help/history. I'm reading the Lincoln's Penny now and loving it. it has history text but has a story line.

I like both of them even though I fear the worst when it comes to heroine. In most of books that I have read they are too whiny or to bland which is something that irritate me. And then they happen to be the chosen one to save an entire galaxy even though they are only 17 and they are novice.
I don't really like Heroine in young/adult because authors generally fall in the - all time favorites - tropes.

My favorite genre would definitely be: Fantasy and my least: Classic (I have read so many that I can't bear to read another one). Anna karenine was by far my least favorite.
