A Song of Ice and Fire - A Chapter a day discussion

1-Daenerys is near Yunkai, and sees a host of about 5000 men. Among them there were two groups of sellswords, the Second Sons and the Stormcrows. She wanted to take the city, but she knew she couldn’t do it without blood. But first she wanted to speak with the slavers, who called themselves Wise Masters, and with the sellwords as well. I think is a good idea, talking instead of just attacking. She also wanted all the slaves who threw their weapons spared.

2-I forgot Grey Worm was chosen by popular opinion to be an officer. She gave the names back to the Unsullied, and I forgot some picked flowers names, lol. Daenerys left Astapor to a healer, a scholar and a priest, but a lot of people followed her. Even though Jorah and her bloodriders told her to leave them, she couldn’t tell them to go because she set them free. She cares a lot about her people. Daenerys also made her bloodriders her kos, they would command the Dothraki. I guess they are sort of officers now.

3-Three captains of the Stormcrows went to see her. One named Prendahl na Ghezn, Sallor the Bald and Daario Naharis. Daario was the most outstanding by far, with his beard and hair gold and blue. She asked them to join her. Prendahl was the one who talked, and told her to go. He said Yunkai wouldn’t fall, and the Second Sons wouldn’t change sides either, and if they did it didn’t matter because he didn’t they were worth it. Even though they were 500 and she had 10000 he said he had won with worst odds, but he’ll have a hard time though. Daenerys told him to tell other Stormcrows about her proposal. Prendahl told her they wouldn’t join her, and Daario glanced at her when they were leaving. It is not mention how old he is, the show confused me.

4-The captain of the Second Sons went next, and he went alone. His named was Mero but he called himself the Titan’s Bastard. I didn’t like him at all. The first thing he asked was if he fucked her at some point. She handled it quite well though. It was quite funny how she repeated what she said to the Stormcrows: she was a young girl and knew nothing about the war. Well, she knows something! Again, she asked him to fight for her, he replied Yunkai already payed him, but she said she could pay more. Mero kept talking about kissing her, and Jorah didn’t like it, lol. Daenerys told him to answer her on the morrow, and he took a flagon of wine and promised to drink to her health. Arstand and Jorah didn’t like him, it seems now the Second Sons with Mero leading were almost as bad as the Brave Companions. So, not good at all. Jorah told her she had no chance with the Stormcrows because one of the captains had kin in Astapor.

5-Fifty envoys from Yunkai arrived, which seems a little excesive, given only one talked to her. Grazdan mo Eraz talked, and said she wouldn’t take the city and he would make the Unsullied slaves again and take back Astapor. He also said she would end up in a pleasure house. Again, she handled it really well. Grazdan offered 50000 in gold, and told her to go. Instead she answered in 3 days he would let all the slaves go with whatever they want and she wouldn’t burn the city, and he replied she was mad. She then said Dracarys and gave the man a little scare, and told him to go with his gold.

6-Daenerys then gathered her officers and Jorah, and told them they would attack that same night. They wouldn’t be expecting that! She had a good plan too. Turns out Daario went there, with a gift for her: the heads of the other two captains. She noticed how different he was from Jorah. Daario said the Stormcrows were hers, and he did it because she was so beautiful. He had a golden tooth, I forgot. Interesting he didn’t pay mind to the dragons. Daario then talked how he killed a lot of men and bedded a lot of women, and Daenerys liked how he talked. I liked it too. Daario then swore he was her, his love, songs, and life, lol. Jorah, of course, didn’t like him at all and said he should stay there. Daenerys thought Daario wouldn’t betray her, and she flushed when he looked at her. She has weird taste, lol.

7-Jorah told her it wasn’t wise to let Daario go, she couldn’t trust him. Then Daenerys did what she should have a long ago, and tell her how she felt. She didn’t want him and he should stop to try to keep men away. She was sure he would forgive her, and I’m sure too. Daenerys was then sad, she remembered what Mirri Maz Durr told her about children, and thought her dragons were her children. They were getting bigger, and she wanted to ride to battle with them. How epic!

8-She couldn’t sleep so she called Arstan, and talked about Rhaegar a little. Arstan said he didn’t like tourneys a lot. Daenerys wanted to know which one he won. Whitebeard then mentions the tourney at Harrenhal, when Rhaegar crowned Lyanna as queen, with Ellia there. I forgot Viserys told her it was her fault for being born so late, what a prick. Arstan also said it was not in Rhaegar to be happy, he had a sense of doom. He was born in Sumerhall the same day it burn, but it was still his favorite place and he came back with a new song everytime. He is so interesting, I always want to know more about him.

9-Jorah was back, and told her they won. Mero fled like he said he won’t, lol. She gave command to spare everyone who swore loyalty. I forgot Yunkai was pretty much the same as Astapor, but the bricks were yellow. The slaves were coming out of the city, and Missandei was telling how Daenerys was the one who freed them. They were calling her Mysha, Mother in Ghiscari. All the ex-slaves were chanting, and she knew they wouldn’t hurt her, they were her children. I really liked the end of this chapter!
