Ryan Erickson (ryanerickson) | 14 comments Hello everyone! I'm glad to be here. I am very new to the serial fiction world and in fact, had no idea it was really a world until a week ago.

I've started a serial fiction series titled fiVe at five.ryanerickson.com.

My current "book fold" reads:

A little more than 20 years ago scientists at Johns Hopkins University discovered the ability to modify a human gene, after birth, that would allow some to gain supernatural powers.

Follow those who are in the middle of a global war with and against the modifieds. Governments want them for war, scientist are in their own war to study them, and the League for Improvement has waged war to save them.

This is the story of orphaned siblings struggling while stuck in the middle of it all. A story of the fiVe.

I honestly was just getting ready to put my story out there with updates once or twice a week when my wife mentioned, "oh, you're doing a serial?" And so a week of catching up puts me here in this group with a few like minded people.

I've only begun so the first part of the first chapter is up, however, I'm always up for criticism. Any feedback would be great! (The next real update is on Tuesday, 26 Jan 2016... maybe sooner.)

I'm very thankful you're all here to help guide me... even if it's by only me reading your work and posts.

Thanks, ~Ryan

Ryan Erickson (ryanerickson) | 14 comments Can I ask though, why did you choose to post it as an image?

It's funny you mention that. I was thinking of it last night as well. I think I'll put the text in the area below it too. As for the picture, I posted it that way for effect. Nonetheless, your point is taken.

Thanks again. ~ryan
