The Wanderer I had not read the beautiful collection of stories for many years so it was like reading it new. I have also read his "Jesus Son of Man" which is awesome and "The Prophet" which I found to be a little more profound that "The Wanderer." The Wanderer is a series of very short stories which are parables and reflections on life, love and values. My book is just 86 pages. Most stories are on just one page, some with two or three paragraphs of 65-80 words. While the title implies that there is a link between each story, the link is only casual. Each story is unique, though some stories are almost restatements of another story. For instance, Gibran often returns to the theme of seeing a situation or person from more than one point of view and there is really no final truth to any of the view points. I can not honestly say I understood every one. Gibran shows his writing ability as both a mystic and a philosopher. It was a delightful reread. While I tend to pass on many of my books so I can keep the clutter down, I will keep this one.
