Clara 1-Arya and the Hound are in a river, and she thinks it’s the Blackwater Rush, that might be bigger because of the rain. The Hound had established some rules, she was not to talk back, hit him or scream. As always, he is quite mean and brutal, but Arya is a fighter. I feel he was kinder with Sansa. The first night Arya tried to kill him with a rock, but he coughed her and since she sleeps with ropes around her, lol. Sandor told her he’d hurt her if she keeps trying to kill him, and she brings Mycah up. Interesting he got mad and told her not to name him again.

-Arya thought he was taking her to Cersei, but hoped the outlaws would catch up before. I forgot she scratched her name in the trees four times because the Hound caught her. They were heading to Lord Harroway’s town. I also forgot Arya had a fever, and the Hound didn’t care. Sandor slept in the saddle sometimes, and his horse is quite interesting. Arya tried to steal him once, and the horse almost bit her out. Sandor called him Stranger, and he was really gentle with him, which is quite a contrast.

-They got to Harroway, which was flooded. Arya saw smoke in a tower, and there was a boat there, the two headed horse Sandor mentioned. The Hound wanted to cross, and the ferryman told him to pay three dragons. Sandor agrees to pay it on the other side of the river, but the man wants it before crossing. Sandor swears on his honor as a knight he’ll pay and the man believes him. Arya knows he won’t pay and he is no knight, but shuts up. She got mad when the man thought she was Sandor’s son, and shout out she wasn’t. Sandor was madder than her, and sent her inside the cabin to get warm. He was pretty mean though.

-Once they passed the town and were in the river, the current was stronger, and they had some problems. It was pushing them downstream, and Arya thinks about jumping. She thinks she might drown, but it’s better to be back in King’s Landing, and Sandor was calming his horse. An uprooted tree was coming at them and one man died trying to push it away from the boat, but the tree passed the ferry at the end. Arya didn’t feel like swimming anymore, and when Sandor saw her he sent her inside the cabin again. They got to the shore, and Sandor payed the man with the parchment Beric gave him. The man asked for 6 dragons, 3 more for the man he lost. The Hound said he’ll pay 10 with that parchment worth 9000, and Sandor said he would be back to get the rest, lol. I guess he thought he’d never get the gold back. He said knights had no honor and ride away, while the men threw rocks and curses at him. The Hound told Arya they wouldn’t cross until the morning, so it was unlikely Beric’s men would catch them.

-Arya had a cold, so he tried to make a fire but the wood was too wet. It was sort of kind, giving he hates fire. He told her he never beat Sansa, but would hit her if she kept thinking of ways to kill him. Arya looked at Sandor in the face, unlike Sansa. He asked her why she was trying to get away when someone worst, like Gregor, could catch her. Arya told him his brother did catch her, and Sandor realized Gregor didn’t know he had her, and found it funny. Sandor thinks his brother would have dragged her back to King’s Landing if he knew. The Mountain killed one of his men just because he was snoring, wtf. Sandor said he might told him before he kills him, and she asked him why he wanted to kill his brother. When he asked back if she never wanted to kill one brother, or maybe Sansa, I thought maybe Sandor believed it was a normal thing to feel. He had a terrible experience and I get why he wants to kill him, and even though Arya was mad at Sansa, I don’t think she ever wanted to kill her.

-The Hound said maybe she saw him as a monster, but told her about the time he saved Sansa from the mob, and Arya doesn’t believe him. He then tells her they weren’t going to King’s Landing. They crossed the Trident, he was taking her to the Twins. Interesting he said Robb needed him, even if he didn’t know. He thought Robb should make him a lord, I don’t think he would though. Either way, both would win, he would get a ransom and she’d be back to her family, which is not bad at all.
