Matt Kramer | 10 comments If you get nervous just introducing yourself to a group of people, this book is for you. If you hate making mistakes, same thing. It was a brutal struggle that I had to go through and I wouldn't wish the feeling on my worst enemy :)

**UPDATE** Today is the last day to get the Kindle eBook is .99 cents! If public speaking is tough for you, this book is for you.

Emma Jaye | 164 comments I've downloaded it, but I don't think you have to be a perfectionist to be scared silly of public speaking.
Just the thought makes me shudder, the word 'phobia' comes to mind. Essentially, breaking an arm or leg would be an alternative I'd seriously consider to standing up in front of a room full of people, a finger or toe? Hell yes.

Matt Kramer | 10 comments Haha I agree Emma. It's definitely a widespread "disease." For me it was actually getting worse every time I spoke! What ever happened to "just do it"? Thanks for nothing Nike...

Seriously, nothing was ever good enough (hence the perfectionist call-out) and my internal critic would capitalize on that and pound my confidence into the cement. But it's possible to overcome even for those that have it the worst :)

I advocate finding one's own system :) As long as no chairs are thrown into the audience, it's a solid system lol.

Zippergirl I used to get nervous speaking in front of naked people, but once I started picturing them with clothes on I was A-OK.

The Shed I've always stuck to my fathers advice and think of everyone either naked or sat on the toilet! Worked for me so far.

Lol. The mind is a powerful tool. How about picture them as shoes with no laces!

That's the first time I've heard the toilet one. Hopefully scent was left out of that visualization! :)

Found it! I'm a blind reader (listener) and our friend Amazon is not kind, it didn't transfer the whole title, so when I put whole title in it popped up!

Unfortunately my sense of smell is intensified, as often happens when you lose one sense..... I'll leave that with you to ponder and say no more!

Zippergirl Richard Feyman was a very smart person and said it well: What do you care what other people think?

Of course, we do.

Great! Yes, Amazon is a little quirky with the search sometimes.
Haha I will unfortunately be pondering it.

D.B. Woodling | 77 comments Because I was an entertainer for nearly twenty years, public speaking (book discussions, signings) isn't an issue. I will recommend this read to my author friends who consistently battle stage fright.

Thanks D.B. :)

Do you remember how you felt when you first started? Or were you a natural performer?
