Good morning,

I have an idea and I think you guys might be interested. I want to add a new section to my website in which I will have a conversations with people who can at least read French then answer to me in English or French.

The idea, for the first conversation, would be to have a few backs and forths about gender equality. You would write in English or French on your blog and I would write in French on mine.

I am a 23 years old dude from Québec, Canada and I would like to communicate with a lady from an other part of the world so that the discussion can be rich. What I mean by that is that by having a different point of view, I think the conversation would be way more interesting.

My name is Kassel and I am an 18 years old girl from Mexico, and I love this idea. I think it would be a fantastic way to get both some rich conversation and practice my French. I've been studying French for the past four years but I am still very shy about it, but since I'm taking the DELF on June I would like to try and write more.

Je suis présentement en train de discuter avec Kassel, la première personne à avoir répondu à ma requête concernant la première discussion sur l'égalité des sexes. Cependant, je compte faire en sorte que ce nouvel ajout à mon site ne se limite pas à cette conversation. Si tu/vous êtes intéressées à faire partie de la deuxième discussion qui pourrait être autour de la littérature, cela me ferait plaisir, mais je ne sais pas encore à quelle date celle-ci commencerait.

I would like to see more interactivity. Maybe a podcast where Emma and the admin talk about their opinion of the current book. Here is hard to follow the conversation, everybody talks like in a monologue and not in a dialogue. What do you say admin?

To have a dialogue, you need active people who wants to share. This has tended to vanish for a few months, sadly. Now, the majority seems to show up to get a book suggestion then they disappear somewhere and wait for the next announcement and it is even worst when the creator of Our Shared does not write the announcement.

I wish people to be more involved, liking OSS posts in social media is a good thing but it is not enough. What's sad is there is such a potential here but it is not developed and I am not talking about Team OSS (they have done efforts over the past few months and the way they decided to walk in is a good one). Here, I am talking about members. Anyway, I suppose I'll wait and see but one day it may fed me up.
