North & South discussion

Hi Everyone -

I wasn't sure whether this was a really nice idea or a really lame idea, but people seem to be in favour, so I thought I'd put the thread up. :) The basic idea is that everyone posts their birth-dates below, which I'll compile into a list - along with the birth dates of some of the main North & South actors and actresses - so we can all wish each other happy birthday on the appropriate days. Or, as Qnpoohbear so brilliantly suggested, post pictures of Richard Armitage as birthday cards! :D

Thanks for that, great suggestion Aery! I feel really dumb now. :P But in my defence, I have had a slightly stressful day. Anyway, we probably don't have quite enough members to sort them all into month categories, but I'll certainly organise them so they're in chronological order. :)

(Okay, so I know I went a bit overkill on the actors birthdays, but I thought it safest, just to be sure I wasn't shouted down if I'd chosen to exclude someone's favourite actor or something. :P Though there wasn't much chance of me leaving off Richard Armitage's birth-date, so I was probably safe anyway. :D)

Mine is May 20th. In three weeks I'll be 27. How the time flies! :D

Only three weeks, you must be looking forward to it! :) Time really does fly, though - in a couple of months I'll be eighteen, and that is a weird feeling, let me tell you. I mean, not that it signifies, but in two months I'm of the legal marriageable age! Awesome, but weird... :P

Just realized that my youngest niece missed Thornton's b-day by 3 days! And yet... Bro #6 managed to hit Henry's. How can this be?! :P

@Aery: That idea certainly has made things easier, thank you. :) I'm just ashamed I didn't think of it, its strange; I'm usually quite organised and pedantic about things like that, not at all scatterbrained. Things have improved - the deadline for the piece of work I was stressed about got pushed back 20 hours, which gives me a free afternoon and a free morning to get it finished, making my life about ten times easier. *phew* :P
What a shame your niece just missed Thornton's birthday! :D Also, Bro #6? Goodness, how many brothers do you have?!

As for my family... Yeah, they've never had good b-day timing. :/ My nephew missed his dad's b-day by 1 day, my oldest niece missed mine by 6 days... You see the pattern forming? :P
And I claim 7 brothers. The oldest 5 are my biological brothers. But the youngest 2 are actually my cousins. They live with us most of the time & are kinda like brothers/sons to me, so it's just easiest to call them my brothers. Sorry if I've completely confused you... lol! ;P

Yup, I can definitely see the pattern! :P Still, believe it or not, just missing birthdays is better than having a ton of people with birthdays on the same days. My aunt and her son have their birthdays on the same day, and my mum and my youngest girl cousin have their birthday on the same day too - exactly a week before Christmas, no less! It's a bit of a nightmare.

Our other family birthday pattern (sort of) is that my brother and I both have birthdays on war dates. My brothers is on ANZAC day, which is a public holiday in New Zealand - lucky him - and mine is on D-Day, but no one really knows or cares about that here. :P Occasionally I get the Queens Birthday, which is good!

Oh, I see! No, I'm not confused... yet. :P No sisters, then?

I'll give you the sixteenth - I like that number, and it's pretty much in the middle. :) If for some reason you hate that number, just let me know and I'll try to find another one for you.
