LOVED this book!

One of my art friends, Angela, just started reading this series. She finished Crown of Midnight last night, and she was totally blowing up my Facebook Messenger with her comments LOL! It will be fun to hear her comments for Heir of Fire!

ME TOO!! (I loved all of it though, such fascinating new characters!)

I actually gave up on the series after this book. I didn't hate it at all, but I just didn't feel the same pull to the characters or the story that I did in the first two books. I'm definitely in the minority though, so I hope everyone likes it!

Things are a lot better in Queen of Shadows.

Sorry, guys... I've tried 3 different times to get into this series, and just never found Celaena likable enough to continue reading it. I loved the novellas, but once (view spoiler)[her love died (hide spoiler)] so did my interest. I keep hoping it's a mood thing and I'll pick it back up one day and see it in a new light. ;)

Finished this book a few days ago. But, I made some notes while reading.

Up to chapter-18 (view spoiler)[ I sense a budding romance between Dorian and Sorscha.

I thought that Chaol stalking Aedion just because he invited some of his sentries to his party was a bit extreme. Did I miss something there? Was there any other reason too?

I like how Sarah J. Mass keeps the reader informed of every aspect of the story. The shifting POVs are really good. (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter-34 (view spoiler)[Sarah J. Mass is rocking it with this book. So many POVs can make a book confusing. But instead I find myself enjoying the book. A lot!

I have always been the one who cringed at any mention of too much violence. So, I should be hating Manon rather than enjoying her POV. Sarah J. Mass, your books are doing strange things to me! BTW I just love Abaroxus!

Aedion turned out to be someone very different than I thought him to be. A really different person. I'm thankful that he's not another one of the King's minions.

That reminds me how much I admire the King for his brains! Don't get me wrong! I definitely don't admire the use he has put all his brains to! I just admire that how well-executed and well-planned his schemes were. He is not an opponent to be underestimated.

I hate how estranged Dorian and Chaol are in this book. They had one of the best friendships I had seen between book characters. Please sort out your differences, guys! Don't make the fangirl here suffer! (hide spoiler)]

I'm now feeling so damn guilty for thinking of Rowan as an arrogant and heartless jerk! I was so so so wrong! He is my topmost favourite character in this book now!

As clever as King of Adarlan's planning were, I must say he is so freaking stupid! He called those vicious princes! Does he even realise that he can't always control them?! I have a question, King. Did you get your head banged hard as a kid? Because there's no other explanation for your foolishness!

What's wrong with Celeana?! Why does she have a death wish?! Girl, please don't be such a hardcore martyr. I'm having anxiety attacks seeing you sacrifice yourself this way! (hide spoiler)]

Finishing thoughts (view spoiler)[TBH I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected to. Half the book, I was actually waiting for something to happen! Celaena was so damn whiny! I totally understand that, but it still got on my nerves! But, I rated it four stars because I loved Manon's POV because for the first time, we actually got to know how others suffered due to the King. Then there was the absolute brilliance that was Rowan! And, let's not forget that we got heaps of information about the King of Adarlan's techniques. (hide spoiler)]
