In April we will be reading a play, so we need some book nominations. Let us know what book you are suggesting.

Rules
* can't nominate your own book
* only one nomination per person
* first 6-8 books will be chosen
* need to tell us why you are suggesting this book
* be respectful of other people's choices

Suggestions can be found here; https://www.goodreads.com/genres/play...

Janet (goodreadscomjanetj) | 86 comments I nominate The Comedy of Errors by the most famous playwright of all, William Shakespeare. It is not a long play but is "Hilarious fun, this early comedy is filled with the merry violence of slapstick and farce".

message 3: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) I nominate Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes by Tony Kushner, because I've meant to read it for a long time and I've always heard it's a beautiful one.

✨ Freckles ✨ (alextsao-trim) | 1 comments I nominate The Crucible by Arthur Miller because it sounds really interesting and I've been meaning to read it for a while.

message 5: by Helen (last edited Feb 02, 2016 05:26AM) (new)

Helen (helenfrances) | 2 comments I nominate 'Topdog/Underdog' by Suzan-Lori Parks. She was the first African American woman playwright to win the Pulitzer Prize for drama. I just read her play, 'In the Blood' which I thought was very good.
*Edit* ~ Topdog/Underdog was the play which won her the award.

Franky I'll go with A Streetcar Named Desire. Well regarded, made for a fine film with Marlon Brando, and has been on my to-read list for ages.
