Once Upon a Time discussion

Were writing a story together. Here's how it goes, I post a sentence, the peson below me will post another one and we carry on with the story. Who want's to go first?

Not me!

I woke up all alone.

Surrounded by tall evergreen trees.

The ground was wet with blood

But I'm reasonably sure, after feeling myself, that it wasn't mine.

Everything was silent, so there wasn't a battle.

An animal's body lay nearby, its fur matted and sticky.

I let out a shriek, confused on what it is.

And then covered my mouth with my hands and chastised myself for shrieking, because I realized that whatever killed whatever that animal is may still be around.

A distant scream comes from behind me.

I was unsure if it was the scream of an animal or of someone dying in very bad way.

I heard footsteps coming behind me, and I closed my eyes, willing myself not to move.

The footsteps got louder and louder until they stopped behind me.

Then I heard heavy breathing, like a dog panting.

I slowly started to open my eyes deciding to face it head on.

Nothing could've prepared me for what I saw.

It was my mother.

"M-m-mom?" I stuttered, "h-h-how?"

"Young lady, you are in no position to ask me anything!"

"We're in the woods!" I said dumbfounded.

"A regular Sherlock," she muttered, turning around and staring into the trees.

"W-what?" I asked. I felt so lost!

I began to move my limbs, shift my body and lift myself up into a sitting position.

Somehow, it felt abnormal to move like this.

It felt like I had become disconnected from my body, as if I were someone's marionette.

"Any minute now" mom spoke again, tapping her feet impatiently against the multi-colored leaf clad ground.

Is anyone around?

[I used to be, but I've lost a lot of weight.]

I wondered why mother would say that, now, other than that being one of her standard phrases used to passively express her anger.

[*purses lips* Very funny Guy!]

"Well?" She asked and when I didn't reply, she hopped on a taxi and waved me goodbye, 'Taxi?' I thought 'In the woods?' now I was even more confused!
