Ashton | 3 comments So I am due to give birth any day now and I wanted to surprise my husband with a new book or two to read while we're at the hospital. He doesn't have a goodreads account but the recommendations I've gotten from here so far haven't failed yet.
Books/Series that he's enjoyed:
Wheel of Time
The Stormlight Archive
Dune
DaVinci Code
Angels and Demons
Inferno
All suggestions welcome!

anything by Peter F. Hamilton.

can't believe you are about to give birth and you're still putting together a series for him to read - that's pretty amazing!

Laz the Sailor (laz7) The Martian - serious and funny at the same time.

And congrats!

Kirsten (kmcripn) I listened to a podcast this morning from BBC Radio Wales and they were talking about science fiction books. Two of the books they discussed sound really great: The Tourist by Robert Dickinson and Revenger by Alastair Reynolds

Mary Catelli | 659 comments The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

(Not SF, but what your list made me think of.)

And I've just realised that you started this thread almost a year ago :)

Adrian | 53 comments Have to agree with Mary above, given that I have read almost all on the list for your husband.
Also the Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson
