* When you have chosen your books, list and link them in this thread so others can look at your choices.

* Please name the country beside each choice
e.g. SOUTH AFRICA Blessed Are the Dead by Malla Nunn

* Remember all your books must come from the genres relevant to this group Crime/ Mystery/ Thriller/ Suspense

* And don't forget to come back and tell us about them as you read them!

What about Alexander McCall Smith's excellent Ladies' Detective Agency series? Wonderful, gentle mysteries told with a deep appreciation of human nature. The dust of Botswana rises from the page.

message 34: by Odette (new)

Odette (odman) | 386 comments Ooops! Replaced Turkey with Russia and will read Eye of the Red Tsar. This has been on my kindle for a while, and hope it fits OK. Though it is a historical novel, it involves the investigation of the murder of the Tsar and his family 10 years after the event.

message 42: by Mary (new)

Mary | 31 comments I can tick off my first:
Malaysia: A Most Peculiar Malaysian Murder by Shamini Flint

I really enjoyed this, kept me guessing for quite a while and Inspector Singh was a great quirky character. I'd quite like to read the second in the series now as it is set in Bali after the bombings and has Inspector Singh working with an Aussie detective.
