That's Stuart MacBride's latest isn't it Jane? Have you read the whole series? I own that one but it'll be awhile until I get to it:)

Yes that's the latest one and yes I've read them all and just found 2 short story e-books on my local libraries download service too ;-) Not bought this one yet but have it on a couple of my challenge lists!

1. England: The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley
2. India: The Case of the Love Commandos by Tarquin Hall
3: Spain (Majorca): In Search of Murder by Roderic Jeffries

Let us know how your number 6 goes Mary. I would like to have another author of mysteries set in Botswana.

What about Alexander McCall Smith's excellent Ladies' Detective Agency series? Wonderful, gentle mysteries told with a deep appreciation of human nature. The dust of Botswana rises from the page.

1. Germany- The Murder Farm
2. Cuba - Havana Blue
3. Japan - The Thief
4. Thailand - Bangkok 8
5. U.S.A. - Murder on Astor Place
6. Australia - Bad Debts

Thank you, they are all new authors for me. Really looking forward to reading them. Also interested in many of the books on other people's lists.

Odette, your book set in Turkey isn't in the genres of the group I'm sorry. Also your #5 has the incorrect link and cover pic... :)

I'm off to choose some books! (I love this part :) )
1. Australia -
2. US -
3. Italy -
4. Scotland -
5. Ireland -
6. Canada -

PS. that was harder than I thought! It was difficult with many books to find out which country they were set in. So, I hope they are all correct! :)
Well done Chloe! And yes you're right...sometimes it doesn't mention in the blurb where they're set!
I've finished my first - UNITED KINGDOM - Tailor Made by Clare Havens 4.5★s

Brenda - its the first day of the challenge and you've already read your first book! Wow!

Malaysia: A Most Peculiar Malaysian Murder by Shamini Flint
I really enjoyed this, kept me guessing for quite a while and Inspector Singh was a great quirky character. I'd quite like to read the second in the series now as it is set in Bali after the bombings and has Inspector Singh working with an Aussie detective.

US - Swimsuit

UK - Private London

AUSTRALIA - Private Down Under

AFRICA - The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

SWEDEN - The Girl in the Spider's Web

ITALY - Angels & Demons

I'm starting with The Girl in the Spider's Web
Christy, I think that although your book for Australia is written by an Aussie, it is actually set in the UK...sorry!

Thanks Brenda!! Didn't realise where it was set. I've changed it.
Well done:) Have you read Private Sydney - it's written by JP as well as our own Kathryn Fox and is very authentic:)

No, I'll have to add that to my ever growing TBR :) Thanks for making my shelves bigger! But I do adore James Patterson! He's my absolute favorite! Thanks for the tip!!!
You're welcome:) I really enjoyed that one, and I haven't read Private Down Under but have heard it's full of Americanisms in Australia! I'll be interested to hear your thoughts when you get to it :)

Sweden - The Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz
Australia - Kakadu Sunset by Annie Seaton
USA - Speak No Evil by Allison Brennan
UK - Payment in Blood by Elizabeth George
Mexico - A Dangerous Harbor by R.P. Dahlke
UAE - Rotten Gods by Greg Barron
