re: Those 2 Frey boys that are playing that crossing/mayhaps game (A very silly game I might add but they are just kids so whatever)
Anyway it got me thinking back to Catelyn's crossing deal - the marriage and to have those 2 boys send to Winterfell.
What was the point of sending the kids there? Why did Frey want them sent away? What was the purpose?
And I think Frey is a grumpy old coot!

So more thoughts on what the comet could mean. Old Nan thinks it's dragons which is the second person (I think) to say that is what it means.
Every time I read about Rickon throwing a fit about wanting his family back in Winterfell, it breaks my heart a little bit. :(
All the direwolves are seriously protective of their owners which is kind of awesome. They have such a great bond!
"Beyond its sky-tall man-cliffs the true world was calling, and he knew he must answer or die." Quite ominous!
Leslie, good observation!!! What is the point with sending the Frey boys to Winterfell? What is Walter Frey getting out of this? This may be wrong to say, but the whole time I was reading about the Frey brother I got visions of tweedle dee tweedle dum from Alice and Wonderland. LOL!!!! I know they are kids, but they are just odd. Must be all the inbreeding. Anyway, what got me about this chapter is the dream of Bran. Bran is dreaming he is a wolf and can taste blood when he wakes. Could he be a shapeshifter which comes from the belief in Therianthropy. Also the comet that appears throughout the whole book so far, Is this the same comet that appears at the end of GOT when Dany goes through the fire and appears with her dragons?

I watched season 2 episode one last night since I am about 40% of the way into the book now.
I realized that the first time I watched the show I didn't even see the red comet at all even though they showed it on the episode from all characters settings. But of course that kind of thing gets missed when you have not read the book first.
I still question how I actually enjoyed the show as much as I did before reading the books. I didn't understand jack-shit! lol
