I wonder if this she-wolf they're talking about is Nymeria. The Trident is kind of close to the Gods Eye.
I wonder why the gold cloaks wanted Gendry.

Ok. That was random!!! Cersei is after Gentry now. I would think she would be after Arya too in fear of her joining up with Robb and telling her all sorts of information.

Ria (ban1chka) | 440 comments Guys, Gendry is Robert's bastard, the one who Ned met in AGoT. You can recognise him by the black hair and that helm he made that he was so proud of (the one Ned asked to buy, but Gendry refused) - he has it with him, that's why they call him the Bull ('cause of its shape).

Brianna (bebecburt) | 562 comments I remember him being Roberts bastard. I was more curious why the gold cloaks went after him for the queen. (I know why in the show, but I try to share thoughts unbiased from the show or further books I've read). It just seems like they went way out of their way for a bastard of ba dead king.fear of someone having proof of her incest probably.

I knew that the Bull is Roberts son. I am just saying that I would have expected more scheming from Cersei. Instead of drawing it out for numerous chapters Martin just got straight to the point.

Ria (ban1chka) | 440 comments Ah, sorry, I've misunderstood. It's just... The first time, I read AGoT basically in one sitting, so I couldn't remember most of the details (+ I suck at names), which made it hard for me to understand some of the things in ACoK and I remember it took me a while to realise who Gendry is. Sorry again.

Well, to be honest I wouldn't give that much credit to Cersei's intelligence. From my first read I was left with the impression that she's prone to panicking, believing that everybody's out to get her and overreacting. I think she's just trying to get rid of everybody who might pose a threat to her precious Joffrey. But I think her thoughts are more in the direction that Gendry might try to seek his own rights to the throne (although her fears are mostly unfounded, 'cause he doesn't even know who his father is... and even if he did - who would support him? I just think Cersei is too emotional and spontaneous. First acts and then thinks. Kind of like Jaime, only she actually believes she's thinking.) And yeah, it was quite straightforward. Were it Tyrion or Tywin, I would've definitely expected more subtelty. But with Cersei - not so much.

Wow, is it just me, or did that sound really rude? I'm trying not to show exactly how much I dislike her, but I don't think it's working :D

You press "reply" on the bottom of the comment you want to quote and then adjust the text that's in the inverted commas by deleting some of it, or copying parts that aren't shown.

When I do that, my post is always in italics (?)

You mean when you adjust the text in the inverted commas? Hm. It's never happened to me. Just make sure that whatever you don't want to be in italics remains after the "/i" tag and it should be fine.
