2017 Reading Challenge discussion

I feel slightly disappointed. For me it does not live up to the hype I have heard about it. Decent research but the story went flat in a couple of places and shifted to third person at odd places. Also a little predictable. Good ending though but again predictable, feel good type writing. It did leave me interested in the topic and I may try to find more books about the trains.

This book would qualify for a number of categories including North America.

I don't disagree with you. I gave it a 4. Some of it felt so authentic, other parts not so much.

I just finished it, while I feel it could have been written better I did enjoy it. I also feel like it didn't live up to all the hype about it.
