Brittany Allyn (soyxunxperdedor) These discussions will be set up a little differently since this book doesn't have actual chapters. Each discussion will cover three sections each. This thread is for "The Deletion of Myself," " #GamerGate and Meeeeee! ," and "It's Been Real.." Discussions will run through the end of March.

Chessa (chessakat) | 81 comments Well, this was a super fun book. I loved how down to earth and authentic this memoir was. Seeing her struggle with creative work was hugely inspiring - the idea that she sobbed through writing a whole season of The Guild is weirdly freeing (in that I think sometimes creativity appears to be a faucet that people just turn on and off at will - but that idea is clearly BS).

Now I'm actually watching The Guild and enjoying it a LOT. :)

Brittany Allyn (soyxunxperdedor) I read this book a few months ago so I won't be rereading it, but I loved it. Felicia Day is just so relatable, even when she's talking about things I can't necessarily relate to, like being home schooled. I do wish there had been a bit more about her time on certain sets, like Buffy, Dr. Horrible, and Supernatural (you know that girl has got some Misha Collins stories, there's no way she doesn't) so I'm hoping she'll eventually do another memoir, maybe one more focused on events in her acting career since this one was quite a bit about her personal life and the things she's created.

Dominique | 18 comments This was a really fun read (or listen since I chose the audiobook). The story of her being on the panel at comic con with Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris Was priceless.
The depression and anxiety stuff really struck a nerve but unlike other books I've read lately dealing with depression it made me feel hopeful not more self loathing. Sorry for over sharing there.
I think I'll have to give The Guild another try after how much I enjoyed this. My brother tried to get me to watch it a few years ago but I didn't really give it a chance.
