So I've been thinking a lot about Adam today. I want to say that I find to be annoying in this book, but at the same time he is super relatable. I'm beginning to think that maybe I hate him because I see myself in him. Maybe I would have acted the same way around wealthy friends in high school if I went to a prestigious school.

The way that he negatively reacts to his friends genuine kindness is because he has never been shown that kind of kindness from his own family. I feel bad for him, but at the same time he really needs to learn when to take a helping hand from his friends. He has to see that they love him more than his own family did.

I like how Maggie has a way of getting into each character's head and making you understand their thought processes. Each one is so unique but relatable.

Green.T. I agree. I loved Adam in the first book. Not so much in the second. I haven't read the third book, but I really hope he gets peace with himself and the rest of the bunch.

Denisa (deelopa) | 3 comments I feel that The Dream Thieves was very pivotal in Adam's character development, and I actually really loved how much confusion and anger and envy he has. Living on his own after living in a home of abuse, the amount of work he does to pay for rent and food, SCHOOL TOO, and learning to live with Cabeswater living through his hands and eyes, it's so overwhelming and he doesn't know how to deal with it properly. I felt for him so much. Protect Adam Parrish 2K16
