I just love Riordan's books so much! They are always entertaining and fun! Also, I love his writing, the way he gives his own twist on mythology without losing sight of the original material. Magnus is a very relatable character and his development through the book is so great to see. I also loved the references and the connection with Percy Jackson's books. I'm actually dying for a crossover between these two worlds - Magnus and Percy would make a great duo and I would enjoy seeing these characters clash so much! Looking forward to read the next book in the series and start The Kane Chronicles trilogy!

Easy 5 stars.

I also give this 5 stars. Good news series. You should like the Kane Chronicles. They are very good as well.

I have to admit to not knowing much about the Norse Gods, and was very pleased with how he wove the stories into this new tale. I now want to explore more about this area of mythology.
