It was brought to my attention that a folder should be created for Theories and discussions. This was a great idea, so here we go. This folder is created for all of you Raven Cycle fans to post your theories about how this series might end. Talk about the books and how you have come to these conclusions.

What will become of each of these amazing characters?
Is Gansey actually going to die? Will Blue kiss Gansey? Will Maura choose Artemis or The Gray Man? What will happen when they finally find Glendower?

I'm looking forward to your posts!

Petra (petrafreedom) | 12 comments Yes! What a great idea to start this kind of a discussion (wink, wink).

We all know Gansey´s going to die, the question is...is he going to stay dead? That´s the way I see it anyway.

But - I have this theory that Gansey somehow IS Glendower. Many thing led me to this crazy conclusion. Exhibit A - Glendower saves his life - hmm, is it possible that this was done by giving him a part of his soul (or just the soul, in its entirety)? Exhibit B - at that political party where Gansey goes with Adam (and Adam´s being a **** but that´s for another topic), there´s this weird moment that has yet to be explained - "here comes the Raven King", remember? Am I the only one who can´t stop thinking about that scene? I mean, this is Maggie, you know it´s going to be exlained. Seeing as it hasn´t been yet, my guess is it will be, in this book. Now, I don´t remember more scenes from Lily, but I know there were other signs.
The last thing is - Gansey is like an old man in a young boy´s body and I no longer think that is coincidental. So, that´s my wild guess, anyway... :)
And then there´s the drive Gansey feels towards finding Glendower. I don´t think his curiosity and feeling like he was meant to do that are unfounded, either.
But then again, I might just sound like a crazy person and turn out to actually be one.

I totally think you're on to something. I'm reading BLBL right now and Gansey was talking to Noah. noah said Cabeswater wanted to be woken up and that's why they chose to save Gansey and kill Noah. noah said they knew Gansey would make sure the line woke up.

On that same note, the attraction Gansey and blue have could be because they are both old souls. She is the "sensible" one and her face was on that old cloth with the three ladies and she is on the tarot cards.

That Raven King scene stuck out to me too. When they were in the cave in BLBL the cave said something about welcoming the Raven King as well. I don't remember it perfectly right now but I know it was there.

Also sorry I didn't give you proper credit for wanting to start this discussion board. It's a great idea. Thanks for participating in our read along.

Petra (petrafreedom) | 12 comments Nooo, I didn't mean that comment like I wanted some credit!!! Sorry if it came across that way :)

That scene in the cave!! Yess! I knew there was something obvious in book 3 that led me to that conclusion! Exactly.

Now, Initially, I had this theory that Glendower was actually Blue's father, but that one went down the drain after book 3.

Now let's talk about that weird person who they weren't supposed to wake, but did. Because I have ZERO theories regarding that. Do you?

Petra (petrafreedom) | 12 comments Also, thank you for giving me a possibility to talk about these things!!! I love the read-along idea! :) i am going to re-read them in the last week of April, though. Because I need every little detail fresh in my mind when I start the Raven King

Well I'm going to leave the group open so we can all discuss The Raven King as well. Feel free to discuss the other books when you get to them as well :)

carol (ravenwanderer) I definitely think you guys are on to something with Gansey being somehow related to Glendower, but I also have another theory that's been bugging me since I reread TDT.

What if Glendower is sleeping like Aurora was sleeping, i.e. he's a dream creation? I keep remembering that once Maggie shared something on Tumblr about Glendower not having any known family like parents or siblings or something like that, like he just appeared out of nowhere.

What do you guys think? Am I going waaaay to deep?

Petra (petrafreedom) | 12 comments Ha! I´ve never even stopped to ponder that! It could be right!

Now, the question arising from that theory would be who dreamt him? right? And I have no idea.

This is why it´s good to follow the author :D you get both intentional and unintetional scoop.

It just came to when I was reading this time. And I've read this series a lot. Ha!

I'm thinking maybe it could be that guy who travelled or was friends with Glendower that is mentioned sometimes? Iogo or something like that? He's been compared to Ronan, though I don't remember if it was on the book or by some fan. Anyway, that's my only guess so far :)
