Nada (africaanah) | 10 comments I couldn't help but start a dedicated discussion about Atticus Finch who is a remarkable man, father, brother, friend and attorney.
One of my favorite things that is said about him in the book is :

"He's the same in the courtroom as he is on the public streets”

What do you like most about Atticus?

Sarah | 10 comments I love the way he is with his children! It's funny because the last time I read this (likely) when I was 15 years old, I doubt I would have noticed or cared as much. But now, as a parent, I love the way he interacts with his children. The way he accepts and respects them for who they are is one of my favorite things about him.

Briliant character.

He takes center stage of the readers mind although he is kind of on the sidelines.

Lerry John (rockist318) | 2 comments Is this story based on a real person? or actual events? I'm quite curious who Atticus was based from..

Still on my 10th chapter, and there seems to still be no single flaw with Atticus Finch. He's a great father and reasonable in his actions, especially in dealing with Scout and Jem. The novel is in the sole perspective of Scout though, hence, we know Atticus only through the eyes of Scout. It's immense how the siblings look up to their father, and it's such a delight to witness their father-children conversations.

How could he be so perfect? :)

Nada (africaanah) | 10 comments Its true that we can only perceive Atticus through Scouts eyes but there were moments that she herself doubted her father and those around her assured her and said great things about him.
