On the other hand, I felt sorry for her that the path to recovery from her alcohol consumption /addiction was by means of the slimy religious fraud, Father (Everett).
So now I don't know
She's pretty self-absorbed and tells Maggie to just "get over it" when she confronts her about her childhood experiences. It was also very cruel how she disclosed the facts about her father's affair and half sibling. Her susceptibility to Everett was illuminating, showing she has an addictive personality.
Until this woman gets professional help, Maggie should consider this a toxic relationship.

I feel sorry that Kathleen had to deal with how Maggie's father treated her but then I don't think she dealt with Maggie very well. Maybe a bit of honesty sooner would have helped matters.
I don't think Maggie should give up on her but I really think they both need some professional help if this relationship is going to become a good one (IMO).
Oh, Maggie definitely needs some serious therapy. I'm hoping her friend, Gwen steps up and insists on it.
