SOS: Serious Overload of Series discussion

Ok my fellow book lovers, I have been out of the loop for awhile and now I am in need of my fix..lol I am looking something a bit specific so I hope someone can help. I want a "sit you on the edge of you seat story" with an HEA and sort of slow burn romance. You know the "I want you but I don't want you kind" or "I want you but can't have you". I don't want sweet romance. I want it dirty, complicated or dark. Taboo would also work. Alpha male all the way..lol Some else recommended Corrupt and that is exactly what I am looking for. Can be PNR, contemporary, new adult, sci-fi but has to have HEA already available. I really hope you all can help me. Thank you in advance.

Not positive about the HEA (or if the alpha males are more alpha/tough than Chess) because not sure if series is finished -- but sure fits complicated and dark with bad boys and girls.

Hmmm, all that's coming to mind for me at the moment are non-fantasy related, dark erotic romances, such as : , which has a second book coming out in the spring - though it's being called a "companion novel" by the author and another stand-alone, and maybe Blair's trilogy (finale Hush due out in April).

We loved . It had a nice, slow-burn romance with a hot alpha hero and quirky, fun heroine. And, it's free right now on Amazon. Highly recommend!
