This is the spoiler discussion for the april mystery read hosted by Jackie.

Is anyone else reading this book?!?! The mystery is getting weird!

I am so confused by the twist with Mr. X. What is he running from? Why did he lie? What is in that flash drive? Who killed Healy if not him?

So MANY questions!!! I am so enthralled with the mystery alone that I don't even care that I am not digging the writing style.

Okay so this was a pretty good book. I'll start with what I didn't like.

I didn't like the writing style. I felt it was a little all over the place, with no distinction between time and very little between events. The chapter endings were a little odd as well. The chapter would often end in the middle of a conversation or event, and then the beginning of the next chapter would just continue from that point on. All in all it took me a little while to get comfortable with the writing style. It helped A LOT that I was absolutely invested in the mystery.

Oh My Goodness can Kate White write a mystery! I was intrigued pretty much from the get go! Obviously this is the portion where I tell you about what I liked. There were so many twists, and WTF's, that I was unsure what was going to happen; and I LOVED that! I felt that the MC handled everything really well but was also very believable in her reactions.

I give this a 3.5 stars because I REALLY liked it, but the writing style was a little off putting for me. Ms. White lucked out with a phenomenal plot or I might have DNFed it!
