Group enjoyed learning about the life of RBG, but were disappointed by the style and the writing of our book. Considerable discussion about the presentation of Ruth's husband in the book. Also, about its target audience (the younger reader?) Minimal discussion of the current status of the Court and of the approach to gender equality that RBG seems to be forging. Concern expressed about the "progress" women have made into positions of power and responsibility.
Guest brought the group information about the Arizona Book Festival she had recently attended, as well as about an author she had heard, Linda Hirshman, who wrote Sisters in Law: How Sandra Day O'Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World.
