Thomas Hillring (dakkster) I'm just burned out on it. It's the same thing over and over and it never ends. It's a zombie soap opera where no character development happens and everything just escalates. More characters to learn to love and then kill off, bigger homes to protect, more extreme measures, more outlandish characters and more evil villains. Yet no personal development happens, because they always fall back on extreme violence in order to survive. There's no end in sight. It just goes on and on and on and on... In the latter comic books, a guy with a tiger on a leash turns up. Yep. Completely plausible, right? It's just ridiculous at this point. It's extreme for its own sake. Spend your time on something else.

Regine O Thanks for the heads-up Thomas. I was contemplating reading it but now I think I'll just stick to watching the tv show (which, to be honest, seems at times very repetitive as well).

Thomas Hillring (dakkster) To add, I don't think it's completely useless. If you haven't watched the show and you don't plan on reading the whole comic book run (that at this point seems endless), then there is definitely a point to read the first few issues, because it's definitely a trendsetter, an iconic work.

But yeah, don't get into it to follow the story, because that will most likely leave you frustrated.
