Although part of the Painful Deliverance storyline, with Alexis and other characters entering the story near the end, Friendship of Desire centres mainly on the lifelong friendship between Tom and Samantha. They've grown up together and this is their story through teenage years and on, as they constantly question if they should remain friends. Samantha suggesting they join a BDSM club will push Tom to his limit of what he can stand in their friendship, and will make him question if he can indeed just remain her friend. Although following on from two explicit books in this series, Friendship of Desire has little adult content in it, and could be read as a standalone story in itself.

These two books are both about spiritual warfare.

A Rose For Jonathan is about a young pastor who begins to see into the spiritual world around him and then discovers the reason why he has this gift and how he obtained it. Through this revelation, he finds out about his family and is able to understand more about the power of prayer and scripture and how the angels and demons are affected by these powerful forces.

Quiver continues the story with one of the characters from this book and can be read alone. Jonathan is a young man with a powerful gift that has been passed to him through a bone marrow transplant as a child. His ability to heal becomes to dangerous for him to stay around the woman he loves and he's forced to leave her without explanation in order to save her from the dark forces that are determined to destroy him and anyone he loves. The angels and demons fight for control as he struggles to understand the gift he has been given and how God wants him to use it.
