Sabaku landed and waited for Sunset

Sunset landed next to Sabaku, her smile seeming to drop to a frown. She glanced around, it seemed deserted. "At least Nightwings have a place to sleep" Sunset ducked her head,

Sabaku glanced at her and put his wing around her "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly

"I'm fine" Sunset tried to smile. "I just thought that the Nightwings would be more happy looking..." Sunset glanced around, noticing that many of the. Nightwings looked sad

Sabaku glanced around "I wonder what happened..." He trailed off. Lily landed beside them

Sunset glanced at Lily, "What happened here?" Sunset asked her. Sunset stopped herself from shedding a tear. It looked lonely, grey and seemed like there wasn't any life.

Lily looked around and frowned. "I'm not sure, that's confidential information between the two queens." she said. Sabaku looked taken aback. "There are two queens?" he asked

Sunset glanced at Sabaku, "I thought it was only the Rainwing Queen" her tail swayed against the ground, she put her talons together and kind of fell silent. Sunset wondered if the two queens ever fought with each other

Raven flew in and looked around, seeing the others he tilted his head but remained silent. He looked at Sunset and Sabaku curiously.

Sabaku nodded "Me too." he said. Lily rolled her eyes "Get with the program! The RainWing queen let the NightWings choose their own queen,a nd they've been working together ever since."

Raven listened in and moved closer his red markings brightened and dimmed with his heartbeat.

"We aren't Rainwings" the beautiful Sandwing pointed out, her venomous tail curled up to she wouldn't poke anyone on accident. Sunset still felt sad for the Nightwings, they had been through so much. Too bad a Sandwing can't be a Rainwing queen she thought, her forked tongue flicking out then in as she began to think

She had noticed a red glow coming from her side but she ignored it, thinking that it probably was a dragon breathing fire or something.

Raven poked his head over her shoulder, and tilted his head "What are you talking about?" He asked curiously

Sabaku jumped and raised his tail threateningly, while stepping in front of Sunset to protect her. "Who are you?"

Lily glanced at Raven "Hello Raven." she said cheerfully "What brings you to us?"

"Wanted some company, though someone seems real agressive." He growled at Sabaku, his black tail with a glowing red blade twitched behind him. He shook his head and looked back at Lily. "Who's that?" He asked not knowing all the Sandwings

Sunset smacked him gently with her wing, "Don't be so hostile" she stepped next to Sabaku, "I'm Sunset" her cactus flower gleamed in the sunlight. Her goldenish scales also seemed to shimmer.

"Raven Song, But I prefer dragons to call me Raven" Raven said with a shrug.

Sabaku narrowed his eyes "I haven't seen you before." he said, quickly scrolling through all of the NightWings he had met before, but stepped aside so he wasn't in front of Sunset. His wings brushed hers slightly

Sunset laid her tail on Sabaku's carefully so it was friendly but she made sure her tail couldn't sting him. She noticed his red glowing scales. "Why do your scales glow like that?" Sunset asked with curiousity in her eyes. She was extremely interested in him and thought she saw a flash of jealousy in Sabaku's eyes but she only smiled at him and brushed her wing against his

"I usually keep to myself, Lily knows me because when I do get lonely I go find her and we talk." Raven told him.

Sabaku looked over at Sunset. I hope she doesn't fall for him he said in his mind, then mentally smacked himself. you just met him! don't judge Sabaku attempted a smile, or at least a neutral expression

Lily smiled. "We haven't been talking lately. Where have you been?"

Sunset nodded, turning to Sabaku, "The Rainwing/Nightwing Kingdom has been the best place I've ever been!" she hugged Sabaku, smiling. She looked at the trees, trying to ignore the grayness

Sunset looked alarmed, she backed up. The Queen? I don't know if I should trust this Nightwing, she barged in... she brushed Sabaku's wing, eyes narrowing. She didn't know a lot of moves but she'd protect her friends

Sabaku hissed and raised his tail slightly. "Why do you need to see her?" he said. "And you're asking the wrong dragons. WE'RE SandWings." he waved his tail for good measure. Lily frowned from behind them. "Cloudberry is busy." she said carefully. "You'll have to come back later."

"Cloudberry is discussing matters with her council." Lily's voice was close to a growl. "You can't just barge in here and ask for a counsel with her."

Lily looked taken aback, while Sabaku's claws dug into the sand. He arched his back, hissing. "I bet I could take you, NightWing any day! You need to learn some respect!"

Sabaku stared after her retreating shadow, his eyes widened in disbelief. "Who set her on fire?" he said, and turned back to Sunset.

Sunset resisted the urge to rip off the Nightwings tail. To Sunset, Moon and most Nightwings were so arrogant. She was easily offended and obviously the experienced Nightwing had upset her. Sunset hissed as Moon flew away, thinking it was very brave of Sabaku to try to protect her. She shrugged and couldn't help but giggle, "Maybe it was the Icewing, or the grumpy queen that sent her" Sunset curled her pointed tail so she could twin hers with his. She turned to Lily, "What could the Skywings have done this time? Surely Queen Amber wouldn't bring the arena back."

Lily widened her eyes. "You don't know? Queen Amber brought it back." she leaned and whispered "Honestly, if you want my opinion, it just reminds me of those stories of Queen Scarlet."

Sabaku looked disgusted. "The arena? What for?"

Sunset shrugged, "Probably for her amusement, I'd hate to have to be in there..." shudders at the thought of her against Peril or the rumors of the new firescaled dragon. She glanced at Lily, "Queen Amber is just being silly, she does have Scarlet's blood in her...." she trailed off

Sabaku looked concerned and glanced over at Sunset. "I hope you never go in there." he said seriously. Lily nodded, her face grave. "It is for her amusement. To think of all that wasted blood..." she shuddered. "You can see why RainWings would rather be peaceful than...her."

Sunset nodded to Lily's comment, brushing her wing against Sabaku's. "I hope we never go in there" she corrected him with a smile. "Definitely wasted blood, I wish the queen wasn't like that"

"Me too. But who would talk sense into her? Her son?" Sabaku says this sarcastically

Sunset giggles, "He doesn't have firescales but if he did, he'd be the king and there would be no queen!" if that had happened, things would change and the tribes might then be ruled by males. "I hope no only kings can rule, no offense Sabaku" adds affectionately, smiling at him

Sabaku nudged her playfully "Yeah, I would be the worst king. And you'd be the best queen." he said, winking

Sunset blushed, "You wouldn't be bad" pretends to fix his invisible crown. "It's so shiny it looks new" giggles, still twining tails with his

"New as in I'd lose it due to my stupidity?" He asked, coloring slightly as he could feel the warmth of her scales. "The crown would look better on you though." he said, scrutinizing her snout carefully.

Sunset looked away shyly, "I wouldn't be able to rule the kingdom without a brave king" she smiled at his comment. "You wouldn't loose, it you'd just deserve another one"

Now a real blush was creeping up his neck. "Females rule over males though." he stuttered a little slowly "So you'd be the main ruler of the kingdom. I'd just be moral support." he tried not to think about him and Sunset as king and queen.

Sunset well knew of what he was thinking, his face and blush seemed to justifying her theory. "Maybe with Sandwings that doesn't have to happen, maybe once it could chance" she knew she was going back on what she had said earlier. A bad king she guessed is what she meant with kings only ruling.

"Well, you're already trained and perfect to be a queen. I'm just...me." Sabaku trailed off at the thought of Sunset leaving him to rule the SandWings

Sunset leaned her head on his shoulder, "Sabaku, i'd never leave you" she shuddered at the thought of leaving him. "Your not just you because if your just you, then i'm just me" she glanced at the cactus flower that was tucked in her ear. "Blaze isn't even royalty anymore, i'm not even a princess" seems to try to dance, her parents had taught her beautiful dances

"You're good enough to be one." he took her talons with his. "I promise I'll always protect you, wherever you are."

Sunset almost kissed him but instead blushed, she would do it when he least expected it. "I wouldn't be without you" taps chin with a talon, "You will be my brave knight, king, protector, and most importantly, my hero" kisses cheek, blushing harder right away.
