I sometimes think I must have been living in a parallel universe for the last 40 years. There are so many nonfiction books that I've read, yet several of these in this Observer series I've not even heard of, including this one.

Same here!!! Adding the fact that I've read really little nonfiction!

I hadn't heard of that one either Gill, but it does sound like a very good book!
