Enjoy!

Will do.

The events of Dark Disciple occur in 19 BBY, between seasons six and seven of The Clone Wars series. The events of Dark Disciple were originally to be eight episodes in the series. They would have been great episodes, but I think Christie Golden did a great job of keeping The Clone Wars spirit in this book. And the end is so heart breaking.

Despite this oft-used and predictable Star Wars trope, the fall-and-redemption arch works in Dark Disciple with Vos and his stereotype. The real strength of the book is Asajj's transformation. And try as she might to escape the greater conflicts in the galaxy, she is again drawn into the sweeping nature of the doomed republic. I like her decisions and thought processes in Dark Disciple, though the end is tragic.
This is a great book for another round of reading in the club if a gap in publishing occurs.
My the Force be with you.
For those interested in going beyond book canon, I will be watching The Clone Wars TV series as I read this book to really complete the cannon. I will do the same with Rebels when I reach it's time line as well.
Please feel free to join me! I will add some little commentary here and there as I go through that and how it fits into the grand scheme of the Star Wars Universe!!
