Climate Change, Environment and Ecology discussion

About 6-10 years ago, I read a great book on climate change which was authored by 2 men. It said that there would be an upcoming crisis attributed to climate change (natch!). They said how we would have to wage a war similar to what we did in WWII with rationing, etc. but could and would eventually survive.

I've been trying to find out what the title was and was wondering if anyone on this forum read it and remembers it.

It sounds to me like a book of fiction. Was it?
