The Book Was Better discussion

I have wanted to drown many, many characters in books because of their attitude and what they do etc.

I want to know who you guys would love to drown (even if they're already dead)

To start off, I want to drown Titus from Fire and Flood because he is EXTREMELY rude, violent and loves to stuff things up.

UMBRIDGE!!! DOLORES UMBRIDGE! I would love to strangle her, stab her then drown her!!! Evil!!! (Harry Potter) Then there's Edward Cullen, another matter (Twilight). If I truly tell you the stuff I want to do to that over protective bastard, then you'll think I'm crazy!!

1+ for Dolores Umbridge.

She's the reason why it took me 2 days to read HP5. I had to take extended coffee breaks because I had to calm down.

Also, Lara Jean from For All The Boys I Loved Before.

Big Jim from Under The Dome was someone I legit wanted to kick in the face! Like....so much! The whole way through the book! I never watched more than like 15 minutes of the first episode of the show since it was terrible even after that...but in the book, which i loved, I HATED Jim!

I never liked how Katniss treat(s/ed) Peeta.

I know right! In my opinion, he was almost as bad as Umbridge.

I know all not the average "bad guy" but very annoying to me. So annoying I wantet to slap some sense into them.

But I hated that Umbridge Woman too ;-)

I loved Uglies, but yes. Tally drove me nuts at times! I didn't like how book 3 ended though, and still haven't started book 4.

Uglies was okay and the idea of the story is great. But in pretties and specials, i don't know, Tally really annoyed the hell out of me again and again. It was an effort to finisch book 3 and I never read book 4.

Yeah, book one was great, and the whole world that was created was awesome. Even book 2 was a lot of fun to me. But then when book 3 came around I was struggling through it and the ending was super annoying. It felt like the book did not build to some great event or anything, and instead I walked away feeling like it was a waste of time to even read it! But, I know book 4 takes place way later, so I am thinking about reading it still. I even own it since I bought the whole series after I loved the first two so much. But, now I don't know if I will ever get the urge to dive back into the final book!

I would love to drown Anna from "The Girl on the Train"..she just sat back and took her husband's fowl attitude and behavior

^ LOL I know what you mean. And that fact that she (view spoiler)[started out as a mistress character (hide spoiler)] ... I tend to not like those kinds of characters.

I am now half into book 3 and I am about to throw it away (this would ruin my kindle though :-))

I love Uglies too, but I hated Tally's fake sincerity and how she treated David

Umbridge (Harry Potter)!!!! Made to be hated!!!! Even Eric (Divergent)!!! I was sooo happy when he was killed!!!!

I disagree with Harper because I don't think that Simon is too whiny or annoying everyone is at least a little bit annoying or whiny.

I totaly agree!! Umbridge is way worse than Voldemort. If i wanted any character dead itd b Umbridge. Shes so cruel and unfair i absolutedly hated the book bcause of her. And obviously the ending.

Katniss was selfish but still she was badass.
I think hating Umbridge from Harry Potter is a universal fact.
Adam from shatter me was annoying af but on top of that I hated the female lead, Juliette, i believe her name was. She was always so depressing throughout all three books and i think the writer could have made the other guy (i forgot his name), the green eyed General?, more appealing. The only thing that kept me going was Kenji.
Do I have to tell you how much i hated thaumaturge Sybil Mia from the Lunar Chronicles? Well I hated all the thaumaturge in fact.
Let's not forget that Josh guy from To all the boys I've loved before, really an insensitive jerk.

Umbridge is probably the character you hate the absolute most, there's no reason to even mention her haha. But what about Ambrose and Bast from The Kingkiller Chronicle!?!? You're obviously supposed to hate Ambrose, but man, he is beyond cruel. And I, and everyone else who has read The name of the wind and The wise man's fear, don't really know what's up with Bast (if you do, tell me please), more than the fact that he is so damn fake and it makes me so angry

I kind of dislike Katniss as well. Mainly because of how she treats Peeta.

I do not like Lennie from The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. I just don't understand how you can have hot makeout sessions with your dead sister's boyfriend (and you know what else if you read the book). I get that he shares your grief, but so does her gram and uncle. You don't see her making out with them!

Also, Lydia was an absolute nightmare. Hated her.

Honestly, didn't know you replied.. Since I am getting the feeling you like COB I'm not going to dissuade you from liking it. This was my opinion, that's all. However, if you're wondering, I did like Simon :)
