Anastasia Kinderman | 942 comments How many books can you read in a month? You can keep track of your reads here or on our handy dandy widget: https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...

This month's challenge will be jazz, read a book that has something to do with this musical style.

Maya B | 825 comments I wish this was March challenge. I read Miles Davis last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. the movie comes out this month. It seems like I have read about every jazz legend so far

Oh sorry! I selected it for this month because apparently there's some jazz festival that takes place during this time so I thought that'd be fun.

These are great recs, Beverly. You got me curious so I looked for others:

There's a list here on GR of "Jazz fiction"

https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...

of these, Twelve Bar Blues looks interesting and has a 3.94 GR rating.

This looks like a lot of fun. My hubby is a jazz musician. The only book that comes to mind for me is Beneath The Underdog Helluva book!

Anastasia Kinderman | 942 comments Thanks for the nominations, Beverly!

Karin | 627 comments Now I wish I'd waited to read Twelve Bar Blues until now, but it was a virtual catalog book, so it wouldn't have worked. At any rate, for others, this would fit this topic, since not only is it structured like blues, it incorporates the history or the start of jazz.
