Hooked on Books discussion

This is a bit of a complicated game, but has simple rules.

One person says the first sentence of a book, and the person below them needs to guess. They may also ask for the second or third sentence, but if it gets beyond the third sentence the next person in line may choose a sentence. I'll go first:

"There is one mirror in my house."

I know! A lot of first sentences are really memorable!

This is an easy one (in my opinion) "Late in the winter of my seventeenth year, my mother decided I was depressed, presumably because I rarely left the house, spent quite a lot of time in bed, read the same book over and over, ate infrequently, and devoted quite a bit of my abundant free time to thinking about death."
