Cierra | 4 comments I'm looking for a book I read years ago. Can't for the life of me remember the title or author. Here's the details.

The soft cover book I read was red and black from what I remember. The authors name *might* be David or Dan.

The book is fiction, it's about a man who was a singer(I think rock) who had a rocky marriage, possibly separated from his wife because of how he was always on the road.
During the book it flashes between present time with him and the past. He has visions or vibes of a woman in a love triangle during the 1800's. Towards the end of the book he gets into a fight with his wife and it flashes back and forth with present day and the past where the other woman is eventually murdered, I believe shot by a shotgun.

I'm sorry the details are so blurry, I read this book 8 (2008)years ago and had a lot going on. I've been trying to look for it a few years now and can't seem to find it. If you've read anything close to this please list the title and author. I also believe it was set in Texas

Cierra | 4 comments Also I want to say there was a house on the front of the book. The book possibly started with a W. In the beginning of the book, the main character met his estranged wife in an airport I think. Towards the end they are arguing and it's almost as if he is the guy from the past where he even picks up a shot gun. But he doesn't shoot his wife like the guy from the past. The guy from the past ends up killing his wife and her lover and burying them on the grounds. The present story is told by the guys perspective where the past story focuses on the woman mainly.

Something by Larry McMurtry? That's just a stab in the dark.

Cierra | 4 comments Nope. Just looked through his books. Not him or dean koontz or Dan brown which are other suggestions I've heard.

Hmm, multiple timelines without time travel -

Remember Me by Cora Brent is a loose match but I'll mention it because of the parallel love triangles, one set in the Old West.
