VT Christian Reading Challenge discussion

My reading went pretty well in March. I'm technically a little behind schedule, however the two books that I'm currently reading (both started in March) are pretty long - 608 and 530 pages - so that has delayed me a bit. I also read two books that weren't on my VT reading challenge list. I haven't checked to see if I can "substitute" them for something else I was planning on reading. I don't think I'll worry about that unless I find myself falling way behind schedule.

The character I liked most is actually in one of the books I'm currently reading - Werner, in All the Light We Cannot See. I'm really enjoying how the character is growing and changing through the book, and can't wait to see how his path eventually crosses with Marie-Laure, the other main character in the book.

Of the books on my list that I finished, my favorite was Not My Father's Son, and least favorite (though I still enjoyed it, it was just least of the three I read) was This Song Will Save Your Life.

Looking forward to spending April with Jane Eyreand the new Bronte biography by Claire Harman, Charlotte Brontë: A Fiery Heart marking Charlotte's 200th b-day on April 21.

I finished 3 in March. Tilly by Frank Peretti for a book about abortion. Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign by Eric Metaxas for my biography. Church History in Plain Language.

I've seen so many recommendations for All the Light We Cannot See recently. It's high on my list of books I want to read!

I read my first Louise Penny Inspector Gamache mystery in March. I enjoyed her writing a great deal and the way she developed her characters.
